The Broadcom ACPL-217 is a single-channel, half-pitch phototransistor optocoupler designed for DC input applications. It integrates a light-emitting diode optically coupled to a phototransistor within a compact 4-pin SO package. This optocoupler provides high input-output isolation voltage rated at 3750VRMS and features a fast response time, typically 2 s. With a minimum Current Transfer Ratio (CTR) of 50% at an input current of 5 mA, the ACPL-217 is suitable for I/O interfacing in programmable controllers and computers, sequence controllers, system appliances, measuring instruments, and signal transmission between circuits of different potentials and impedances.
